I'm embarrassed to admit that I have never seen Sandlot, and until ten minutes ago, I had never heard of Wendy Peffercorn. "Wendy Kupferberg" was the product of a series of google searches combining various first-and-last-name combinations until I found one that seemed unlikely to result in an actual person with that name encountering this column.
